At 36 Marcel has lived two epic lives in the public eye one as The UK’s favourite Love Doctor following his appearance on Love Island in 2017 where he finished as a Finalist, hosting his own radio show on Fubar Radio, Releasing a self-help book, appearing on numerous TV shows such as Celebrity, Come dine with me, dinner date the list goes on… but he has also had six Top 10 Singles, including a number 1 with ‘Crossroad’ as Part of the 00’s Pop Garage group Blazin Squad. Marcel and the boys depart on a nationwide winter tour in November and December 2022 alongside the release of a new music project to celebrate 20 years of the squad.
Marcel is the ultimate family guy becoming a Dad in 2021 and a Husband in 2022 he is very much a Dadfluencer, He and his wife appeared on MTV’s Celebrity Bumps and from then he has worked alongside some of the biggest brands in parenting such as Fisherprice, Smyths, Kendamil and Sky. He also launched an award-winning parenting podcast ‘It’s not all dad’ which he hosts alongside Jake Quickenden (I’m a Celeb) and fellow Love Island alumni Jamie Jewitt. The boys are busy working on season 2 and will be releasing it early in 2023.
As one of the most well-known faces from the UK’s 00’s music era. Marcel has found his niche and He has just completed a DJ Tour of his Club Night brand ‘Naughty 00’s’ - In which he takes over a venue and turns it into a 00’s Extravaganza. More Naughty 00’s events will running throughout 2023 up and down the country.
In 2020 marcel was diagnosed with diabetes and has since been an advocate for raising awareness of the conditions working with Charities such as Diabetes UK and JDRF. Speaking on behalf of the charities in the media and DJing at fundraising events. He’s also worked on health and wellbeing campaigns with Quin, 10cal Jelly and Benecol.
He will be appearing a contestant on Channel 5’s new Primetime Flagship Reality show early in 2023, so next year is looking to be another big year in the life of Marcel.
