Born South Shields, Joe McElderry stormed to victory winning the X Factor in 2009. Joe went on to release his first studio album ‘Wide Awake’. He entered and won ITV’s ‘Popstar to Operastar’ competition, releasing his second and third albums, ‘Classic’ and ‘Classic Christmas’ followed by ‘Here’s What I Believe’.
He has been put through his paces in sub-zero temperatures winning Channel 4’s ‘The Jump’, completing host of physical feats endurance from speed skating to the luge!
Joe has shone on stage, receiving glowing reviews for playing; Tommy in a ‘The Who’s Tommy’ a Rock Opera, Joseph in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’ and the lead in ‘Club Tropicana the Musical’. His passion for performing led him record and tour ‘Saturday Night at the Movies’, a collection of classic silver screen hits.
Joe celebrated 10 years in the industry with fans through an interactive live show, an emotional look back through the decade’s accomplishments and highlights from his tours ‘Set Your Soul Alive’, ‘Evolution’ and ‘Northern Light’.
2020 saw Joe take the wheel in his own digital revolution, he livestreamed his way through the year. His time in his hometown inspired him to release ‘O Holy Night’ shooting the video against the stunning backdrop of the South Shields coastline at sunrise.
Joe is known for his ability to ignite a crowd with his upbeat positivity filled tracks including his recently penned country-pop song ‘Baby Had Your Fun’. He can also command an audience belting emotional ballads as shown in his second release of last year ‘I Am An Army’.
Joe headed back on stage with his On The Road Again tour in September to excited audiences across the UK after almost 2 years of venues being closed during the pandemic
He finished the Year playing the Man in the Mirror at the Prestigious Newcastle Theatre royal in Snow White and The seven Dwarfs
2022 will see Joe heading back out on the road. Paying homage to George Michael in his upcoming UK tour ‘Freedom’, an unmissable journey through George Michael’s greatest hits.
