A South London native and graduate of Law, Yinka Bokinni is the ultimate multi-hyphenate broadcaster and culture junkie. Undoubtedly one of British broadcasting’s rising stars, Yinka is an award-winning journalist and documentary maker, a floor filling DJ, a radio host, TV presenter and cultural commentator with a career that spans film, art, music, true crime, literature, and TV Entertainment.

Showing her true range and unique voice as a broadcaster, Yinka’s successes to date include hosting a range of critically acclaimed documentaries for Channel 4 ‘Damilola: The Boy Next Door’, ‘How to Hire a Hitman’ and ‘Metaverse: Are You Safe?’ hosting the nominations and red carpet for the highly prestigious ‘Mercury Awards’, interviewing A-List film talent for the ‘British Independent Film Awards’, Sky Arts ‘Portrait Artist of the Year’ plus a huge range of other leading cultural formats. 2023 also saw Yinka take the reins of The Great Celebrity British Bake Off’s digital content as the shows first Digital Presenter on behalf of Channel 4. Co-hosted Channel 4’s ‘Naked Education’, become a series regular on Channel 4’s ‘Steph’s Packed Lunch’ and ITV2’s ‘Big Brother: Late & Live’ and much more. An incredibly in-demand host for blockbuster movie premieres, Yinka regularly welcomes A Listers and film and TV fans to celebrate key releases as they hit screens, highlights include Wonka, Dr Who, King Richard, Batman, Fantastic Beasts and Dune.

Yinka’s credibility as a broadcaster has already seen her amass a range of accolades, including prestigious Grierson and RTS Awards, plus many nominations, including a nomination for a ‘British Journalist Award’, an incredibly rare and exciting feat for an emerging talent.

2024 is already shaping up to be an unforgettable year for Yinka, she kickstarted the year by hosting the BRIT Awards Nomination Show titled ‘Bring On The Brits’ which then led to her presenting the ITV2 ‘BRITs Red Carpet Show’ which was a lifelong goal, was booked to be on Jonathan Ross’s Oscars panel for ITV1 and she was part of this years The Great Celebrity British Bake Off SU2C Special for Channel 4.

Previous career highlights include hosting The Capital Xtra Breakfast Show (6-10am), hosting the main stage at Wireless Festival and presenting the Isle of Wight Festival on Sky Arts for two years, leading 4Music’s monthly ‘Fresh’ series and much more. Fulfilling another lifelong goal Yinka hosted her own weekly late-night talk show with co-host ZeZe Mills titled ‘Unapologetic’ on Channel 4 for two series, co-presented a one off for Channel 4 called Jimmy Carr’s ‘How to Destroy Art’ and hosted the first ever True Crime Awards in 2023. Yinka is a True Crime addict and is the proud host of her popular ‘True Crime Anniversary’ YouTube series. Merging this with her impressive presenting skills, led to the project of ‘True Crime Unravelled’ A Channel 4 Original digital series which launched in October 2021.

Yinka works with a host of brands, highlights include Coca Cola, Diet Coke, Google Pixel, Aussie, New Balance, BMW, and Sleek Make Up.
