Andre “Shy FX” Williams has quietly been one of the most influential British producers of the last 25 years. From his ground-breaking jungle anthem Original Nuttah, a tune that last year celebrated its 26th anniversary and has as much impact now as it did when it first smashed into the charts in the early 90s.
Through his legendary DJ sets and productions, Shy’s ability to fuse soundsystem culture with electronic futurism and classic song writing has defined the music of successive generations. Having released his critically acclaimed album ‘Raggamuffin SoundTape’ that deftly steps between tempo and styles, encompassing lyrical hip hop, sweet soul, and bass heavy breakbeat and includes the now modern classic ‘Roll The Dice featuring Lily Allen & Stamina MC, ‘Bad After We’ featuring Ghetts and Kojey Radical, plus further collaborators on the project including Cara Delevingne, Chronixx, Maverick Sabre & D Double E.
He continues to tour the world, hosts his legendary Notting Hill Carnival stage every August, and more recently has released a string of singles collaborating with the likes of Voltage, Agent Sasco and Liam Bailey; not to mention his recent single ‘Good Morning’, featuring Kojey Radical and Nile Rodgers.
